Data content

This report shows the number of persons who are in receipt of unemployment benefit, the amount of benefits paid out, and the number of reimbursed days during the statistical reference period. Euros/day has been calculated by dividing the amount of benefits paid out with the number of reimbursed days.

The report covers both the earnings-related benefits provided by unemployment funds and the basic unemployment benefits paid out by Kela.

The benefits are divided into categories according to the basis of eligibility, i.e., into benefits paid during unemployment and benefits paid during participation in employment promoting service. Job alternation compensations are included under 'Other basis of eligibility'. The category 'Data not available' includes benefits repaid to Kela whose original basis of eligibility is not known.

Important to note: Unemployment allowances have been payable during participation in employment promoting service since 2010.
