Persons entitled to interpreting services for the disabled and active users of the service.

Interpreting services for the disabled are available to persons who have been issued a valid decision granting them access to such services. Active users of the service are defined as persons for whom the number of hours of interpretation billed during the statistical reference period is greater than zero.

Variables and classifications

• Type of recipient (Hearing impaired, Speech impaired, Hearing and vision impaired)
• Time period (End of year, Month)
• Region
• Sex
• Age group (0–4 years, 5–9 years, …, 95–99 years, over 99 years)
• Procurement area (Northern, Ostrobothnia, Central, Western, Eastern, Uusimaa)

Statistical reference period

Data available from 2018. Monthly data available for the current and two preceding years.

Updating frequency

Updated monthly. Annual data updated in January.

Kela. Statistical registers (total material) produced from the processing system for interpreting services for the disabled.
